Hands-on learning about Salish people

Bring your kids to the Kenmore Community Club, 7304 NE 175th St, Sept. 21 from 2pm to 5pm and let them experience the culture of Kenmore’s first people, the Sts’ahp-absh, who lived along the Sammamish slough near what is now Tl’awh-ah-dees Park.

Presented by the Burke Museum, the interactive exhibits offer hands-on learning about the the rich culture of the first peoples of Kenmore.

There are hands-on displays of the tools, arts, food and the community of people who lived here more than 200 years ago.

In addition, there will a history wall showing the early development of Kenmore and in the club’s backyard, there will be a Rootbeer Garden with hotdogs.
