Saint Edward State Park is a day use park with sprawling lawns and forested trails, all set around impressive Romanesque Revival-style brick buildings.

Small, casual groups of users are welcome anytime to use the picnic areas. Mountain biking and hiking are popular activities at Saint Edward, where a labyrinth of trails takes visitors through a lush forest to the shores of Lake Washington. Many trails are available for use by mountain bikers, while others are restricted to hikers only for the safety of park guests.

Reservable accommodations:

The Orchard picnic area is close to the playground and features a small grove of apple and cherry trees. There is a stand-up barbecue grill and can accommodate up to 100 people.

Two unsheltered picnic areas and two ballfields are also available for reservation.

Picnic and day use facilities:

Day-use picnic tables and BBQs are available throughout the Great Lawn, first-come first-served, for use by small groups of up to 25 people. Larger groups require a permit and/or a reservation.
